This week went by very quickly. I had to recreate the
website that I showed previously. Apparently, I created it under a Maricopa domain
when I should have created it under a Phoenix College domain. I’m not sure how
this prevents students from viewing the site but it posed problems. I tried
changing the url to a Phoenix College domain. However, as it turns out, you can
only change the ending of the url once the site has been made using Google Sites.
So I was in a terrible state thinking that I would have to recreate the side
from scratch all over again. Fortunately, Google Sites has a nifty feature that
allows you to copy a site that you have previously made. So, I just copied the
site onto a Phoenix College domain and all was well again.
Wednesday of this week was PC’s Student Involvement fair. I “volunteered”
to represent the robotics club. I had to make a poster with our logo on it
which, as usual, proved difficult. However, in the end I had a nice printout of
the Kodiak Robotics Logo. The only down side was that the printer made lines in
the ink. I shaped it and made it all pretty. Thus, at the fair, the robotics
club had the prettiest and most amazing poster out of all the clubs. I, along
with Yanny and Josh, set forth to recruit new members. We collected an entire
sheet of “I’m interested” signatures. However, knowing how most students just
sign those in the spur of the moment, I’m hoping that at least 4 new candidates
will show up to the club meeting.
All silliness aside, this week I’m speaking with Dr. Anne
Hodgkins to make a final decision on my research project/internship. I’m still
not sure what to do. After google-ing research topics, however, I found
something that interests me, maze algorithms. Whether or not I can do a project
on this is still unknown to me. Hopefully, everything works out
